The National Children's Song Contest “Bala Dauysy” has been one of the largest events in the cultural life of Kazakhstan for 4 years.
A big interest of those who wish to participate in the project and TV audience who support the contestants, as well as the grandiose gala concerts of the contest prove that Bala Dauysy has become a much-anticipated annual children music forum of the Republic.

ON 14 MAY 2016 THE FOUNDATION OF ALIYA NAZARBAYEVA “ZHANDANU ALEMI” LAUNCHED THE FIRST IN THE HISTORY OF KAZAKHSTAN LARGE-SCALE PROJECT
An outstanding feature of the contest is the fact that during the project implementation the organizers create for the children a collection of new songs “Bala Dauysy – Arman Kanatynda”, which is granted for free to all educational institutions of the country. This grandiose festival of children songs has been making it possible to discover the names of the new young talents for four years.
Bala Dauysy – 2016 became the first successful experience. For more than three months local stars travelled around the country and heard about four thousand children voices to choose the most talented children from 7 to 13 years old. Professional artists, including Aikyn Tulepbergen, Marzhan Arapbayeva, Medeu Arynbayev, Zhanar Dugalova, Tolkyn Zabirova, Ali Okapov, Diana Sharapova, and many others, became mentors for 23 finalists, who came to Almaty to live in the Star House and to have vocal and choreography classes for almost three weeks. Kazakhstan authors wrote hits for the little artists, which they sang at the super final. Millions of Kazakhstanis determined the winners by means of SMS-voting and witnessed the birth of the new little stars of Kazakhstan scene.

The organizers fulfilled one of the most devout wishes of each child having presented to the winners a trip to the Disney Land.
Opening of the second season of the Bala Dauysy contest was held in Pavlodar, the native land of its previous winners.
BY THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR 2017 THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE RECEIVED 5 347 APPLICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE REGIONAL QUALIFYING ROUNDS
Traditionally, 18 finalists from 16 regions of the country met in the Star House.
The contest super final gathered about seven thousand viewers and more than a million of TV audience, and consisted on three grandiose shows, where the finalists sang popular Kazakhstan songs, modern versions of folk songs, and world hits together with their star mentors. Professional jury members were the Honoured Actors of Kazakhstan Maira Mukhamedkyzy, Zhenis Seidollauly, composer and singer, laureate of the Premium of the Foundation of the First President Karina Abdullina, and a popular singer and composer Parviz Nazarov. Thousands of the project viewers spared no applause and voted for their favourite young artists at the Contest Web-site.

Bala Dauysy – 2018 became a new unforgettable meeting. According to the tradition, participants and mentors of the previous seasons met at the opening of the next season. In 2018 about four thousand online applications were sent. The star jury selected 80 participants from among the applicants, who were admitted to the second round; they were invited to Almaty for “live” trials. 19 most talented children came through to the contest final.
THE GRAD PRIX OF THE THIRD SEASON WAS AWARDED TO THE 10-YEAR-OLD BOLATKHAN ISSATAI FROM VLADIMIROVKA VILLAGE, KOSTANAI DISTRICT, KOSTANAI REGION.
He was awarded a Grant for education at the specialized school of the Kazakh National University of Arts and a coveted ticket to the Paris Disney Land.
